Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to see a psychologist?

We all struggle from time to time, and life can feel overwhelming. Suffering is part of being human but we don’t have to do it alone. I can offer you space to explore difficulties, a different perspective and the possibility to learn some tools to enhance your well-being.

What is on-line therapy? What technology do I need?

On-line therapy simply is the same as the more traditional face to face session but in the comfort of your own home or private space. Research has shown it to be at least as effective as face-to-face sessions, with the extra benefit of it working around your own personal needs.

I use Zoom for the on-line platform. It is highly secure so you can be confident about the privacy of our time together.

I will send you an invitation via email. Included will be a link that you can click on to join the meeting.

You will need good internet connection and a laptop, or tablet with working microphone and camera.

What are your fees?

My one to one session fee is £115 for approximately 50 minutes.

The Fibromyalgia Workshop fee is £580 for 7 weeks.

How do I pay?

You can simply pay by bank transfer which should be done ahead of each session.

How many sessions will I need?

This is a tricky question to answer ahead of us meeting for an initial assessment, but on average, between 4 and 18 sessions.

Is everything I talk about confidential?

Everything you share with me is confidential. Session notes are strictly private and confidential and are kept in a locked cabinet. Confidentially will only be broken in the case of a suspected harm to yourself or to others. This will be fully discussed and agreed at our first meeting.
